How to win? You are assigned a Team and Milkweed at the beginning of the event. One team/milkweed will win the championship. Follow the progress of teams in the March_Madness_Bracket.pdf below or follow the progress of the milkweed in the Milkweed_Madness_Bracket.pdf below. If your assigned team/milkweed is the team that wins the championship on April 8th, 2019 then you have won.
Milkweed Madness 2019 tracks the popular NCAA March Madness tournament. Milkweeds will progress through the brackets according to the teams they are mirroring in the real life tournament. Please keep in mind that the bracket presented on this site is in no way affiliated with the NCAA or any intellectual property associated with March Madness.

ODDS OF WINNING: 1/64 one in sixty four chance of winning. Odds of winning are the same for each contestant.
Contestants will be assigned their "regional preference" on a first-come first-served basis. Regional preference is not guaranteed. Once 64 contestants are entered the additional contestants will be assigned duplicate milkweeds. A maximum of 8 contestants can be assigned to one milkweed. A random number generator will be used |

The game is modeled after and tracks the popular NCAA basketball tournament. Milkweed Madness, it's creator Brad Grimm and the company hosting the online event Grow Milkweed Plants are in no way affiliated with the NCAA. Any similarities between Milkweed Madness and any other popular basketball tournament such as March Madness are just that, similarities. Any and all confusion that Grow Milkweed Plants and the Milkweed Madness brackets are in any way related to anything beyond what is represented on my informational website is conjecture and should be ignored immediately. Milkweed Madness is created as a fun way to give away milkweed seeds to as many as eight (8) lucky individuals and/or organizations. In addition to the altruistic goal of monarch butterfly habitat restoration the intake form will be used to collect your email. Email addresses that are collected will be used according to the Privacy Policy of growimlkweedplants.com Additionally your email will be used to contact you if you win. Web host "Weebly" automatically collects the computers IP Address when submitting the registration form. Your IP address will not be made public at any time. An email will be one (1) Entry into the tournament. Registration in tournament is OPEN between February 1st 2018 and March 15th, 2019. Tournament enrollment/registration CLOSES March 15, 2019 at 00:01 Winners will be announced not later than April 10th and not before April 7h. Winners can reasonably expect their seeds to arrive via USPS on or before April 30th 2019. Previous GIVEAWAY winners are encouraged to participate! Complete address will be required before I can send winners the seeds in the mail. Tournament is only open to United States residents or residents of foreign countries who have a valid U.S. postal address. International postage above $20 USD will require international winners to help pay the actual cost of shipping. Additional postage may be required if you are a resident of an outlying U.S. territory or reside in Hawaii, Alaska or Puerto Rico. Tournament can and will close when entries reach five hundred and twelve (512). If 512 entries are received before March 15th, 2019 then the tournament will close to new contestants. If more than 512 contestants are registered by March 15th 2019 they may have a chance to win only if additional seeds become available. Site owner and tournament administrator, Brad Grimm will/may have one (1) milkweed entry. His entry will not/may not reduce your odds of winning nor will it subtract from the total number of contestants listed above. A mistake was made where Iona/latifilia was incorrectly named Penn/latifolia. That has bee corrected and Iona was eliminated in Round 1 on March 22nd 2019.
